
F. Ramón Villaplana presented a paper on turnout in intra-party direct voting in Spain
The German Political Science Congress (DVPW-Kongress) was held at the Georgia Augusta University of Göttingen from September 24 to 27, 2024. As part of this congress, F. Ramón Villaplana was in charge of presenting a communication co-authored with Oscar Barberà and Adrián Megías under the title: “Intra-party direct voting in Spain: The digital as new mainstream”, in the panel “Toolbox for mapping digital democracy” chaired by Felix von Nostitz, from the Catholic University of Lille, with Stine Ziegler from the University of Marburg as a discussant. Other members of the international Digital Parties and Politics Research Network (DPPRN) also participated in this panel, held on September 27, such as Isabelle Borucki and Jasmin Fitzpatrick, with communications on the measurement of digital transformation and on electoral advertisements on Google Ads, respectively.
