International meeting at the UV (27-28 May) to boost collaboration between research and industry, share best practices, and foster innovation within FORTHEM.

Connecting Knowledge to Industry: The FORTHEM Transfer Event is a two day international meeting (27-28 May) hosted at the Scientific Park of the University of València, bringing together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and technology transfer professionals from across the FORTHEM Alliance.

The event aims to strengthen the bridges between academic research and the industrial ecosystem, fostering collaboration, innovation, and the creation of impactful solutions for society.

Here is the agenda:

Agenda of the event

It includes keynote lectures, institutional presentations, hands on workshops, and two central panel discussions that frame the core themes of the event:

  • University–Industry R+D+i Collaboration and Technology Transfer: Best Practices, a panel exploring effective models of cooperation, the mechanisms that enable knowledge transfer, and strategies to transform scientific results into market-ready innovation. The discussion will address key challenges, success factors, and real examples of impactful partnerships between academia and industry.
  • Spin-off Companies: Success Cases and Acceleration Structures, a panel dedicated to understanding how spin-offs emerge from research environments, what supports their growth, and how acceleration programmes and innovation ecosystems help them scale. Speakers will share experiences, illustrate good practices, and discuss the role of deep tech entrepreneurship as a driver of economic and technological development.

Through these discussions - together with a rich programme of keynote sessions and workshops - the event offers participants the opportunity to learn, exchange perspectives, and identify new pathways for collaboration.

Connecting Knowledge to Industry is not just a meeting: it is a shared commitment to building a stronger, more connected, and more innovative European knowledge ecosystem.
