Collective Short-Term Mobilities (cSTM) at the UV

Last June 2023 took place the Summer School PATHWAY FROM FARM TO FORK: A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEM within the FORTHEM Collective Short-Term Mobility (cSTM) grants for students from universities belonging to the Forthem Alliance. This activity was organised by professors Cristina Juan, Ana Juan-García, Yelko Rodríguez-Carrasco and Josefa Tolosa Chelós, and was attended by representatives of the Forthem Project at the University of Valencia: Esteban Sanchís, Delegate of the Principal for the Alliance Forthem,  and the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Multilingualism Carles Padilla.

The sessions included talks on food safety and quality, as well as visits to the family-run winery Bodegas Arráez, owned by Toni Arráez, and a visit to the Public Health laboratory of the FISABIO-Public Health Foundation with presentations by Dr. Clara Coscollà's research team. Students from Ukraine participated in this edition. An opportunity for all of us, not only to deepen our knowledge about food safety and improve our perception of food, but also to enrich ourselves culturally.

This programme, the collective short-term mobility, gives you the opportunity to meet physically on site (for up to 5 days) in one of our nine universities with around 25 other students. Once the call is open, fill in the online application form and attach all the requested documents. Participating students need to be enrolled in one of the FORTHEM partner universities, both during the application period and during the actual mobility.

The next round of applications starts in Autumn 2023.
