The first conference was organised from 6-8 March 2024 under the slogan FORTHEM for the Future
The first FORTHEM Annual Conference "FORTHEM for the Future" brought together researchers from diverse disciplines to explore how academic collaboration can shape Europe's future. Over 200 participants engaged in 9 thematic sessions on topics such as inclusiveness, democratic values, digitization, and AI in science and education. Two additional sessions focused on early-stage researchers - one on creative research ideas and their societal impact in the Social Sciences and Humanities, and another on driving innovation in the Natural Sciences.
The second conference took place from 29-31 January 2025 under the motto Connecting Worlds of Science and Society
The FORTHEM 2nd Annual Conference “Connecting Worlds of Science and Society”, hosted by the FORTHEM Labs, was held online from 29–31 January 2025. Spanning twelve sessions over three days, it again featured two interdisciplinary tracks specifically designed for early-stage researchers. In total, over 280 researchers and facilitators participated and learned from more than 100 contributions and 624 unique networking involvements.
The third annual conference will be held from 26-29 November 2025, so stay tuned!
