Qualification certificate for teaching in foreign languages: English

 

NOTICE

  • The deadline for registering the certificates and the Diploma has been extended until 29 October 2021 (Ordre 4/2021).
  • The Ordre 3/2020 of the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura i Esport (Valencian Department for Education, Culture and Sport) repeals, with effect from 11 February 2020, the Ordre 17/2013 which authorised Valencian universities to issue the Diploma de Mestre de Valencià (certificate for teaching Catalan) and the certificats de capacitació (qualification certificates for teaching in Catalan and foreign languages). The first transitional provision of the Ordre 3/2020 allows the registration of the Diploma de Mestre de Valencià and the certificats de capacitació until 11 February 2021. Philology credits pathway

Requirements 

Applicants must have passed 24 ECTS credits related to English Phylology defined by the Department of English and German. 

Applications

You can apply for your certificate by sending an email to certisfftic@uv.es or in person at the office of the secretary of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication.

Language and literature credits pathway

Requirements

Applicants must have passed 24 ECTS credits related to teaching language and literature defined by the Departament of Language and Literature Teaching.

Applications

You can apply for your certificate by sending an email to fac.magisteri@uv.es or in person at the office of the secretary of the Faculty of Teacher Training on Tarongers Campus or on Ontinyent Campus.

Teaching in English pathway

Requirements

You must have a degree, undergraduate degree, engineer degree or official master's degree issued by the University of Valencia with at least 80 credits taken in English. You must also have the certificate of a Master's Degree in Secondary Education, or an equivalent, issued by the University of Valencia.

Applications

Applications can be made through the Online Office by typing your username and password of the University of Valencia or by using an electronic certificate issued by an official certification authority. 

Open the menu “General” and then select:

  1. Type of unit: Serveis universitaris
  2. Addressed unit: Servei de Llengües i Política Lingüística
  3. Addressed group: Administració

Please attach in PDF format:

  • ID
  • B2 English Certificate
  • Certificate of Master's Degree in Secondary Education or equivalent.

A notification via the Online Office with a document to pay the taxes will be sent to applicants if their details are correct. Then, after the payment, applicants will recive a new notification to pick up the certificate.

Specific training pathway

There are no training pathways available at the moment. 

Requirements

Students must have passed the specific training pathway.

Applications

If you have passed the training pathway, you can apply for your qualification certificate at the Languages Service through the Online Office by typing your username and password of the University of Valencia or by using an electronic certificate issued by an official certification authority. 

Open the menu “General” and then select:

  1. Type of unit: Serveis universitaris
  2. Addressed unit: Servei de Llengües i Política Lingüística
  3. Addressed group: Administració

Please attach in PDF format:

  • ID
  • B2 English Certificate
  • Degree certificate

A notification via the Online Office with a document to pay the taxes will be sent to applicants if their details are correct. Then, after the payment, applicants will recive a new notification to pick up the certificate.
