Following the concert held in Utiel on Saturday, May 31st, the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia will host the choral exchange concert as part of the Melodías Solidarias por Utiel series, featuring the participation of the Masa Coral Utielana and the Nau Gran Choir Club.This intergenerational and emotionally charged gathering blends music and solidarity, aiming to raise funds for those affected by the severe DANA storm that hit the town of Utiel. The concert programme spans from classical polyphony to modern arrangements and will conclude with the joint performance of Verdi’s Va, pensiero, a shared symbol of hope and recovery.

This initiative has been promoted by the Office of the Vice-Rector for Culture and Society of the University of Valencia, in collaboration with the City Council of Utiel, as a reflection of their shared commitment to accessible and socially engaged culture. The organization of the concert also has the support and participation of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia, through its Music Activities Area, which coordinates the university choral project; the Provincial Council of Valencia, which reinforces local cultural actions through its institutional support; Caixa Popular, an entity committed to the values of solidarity and connection to the territory; the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption of Utiel, which hosted the first concert; and the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia, a heritage and cultural space that now opens its doors for this second performance.
