Project

Development of a multi-agent simulator for modeling of urban mobility

Description

This project has as a main objective the development of a multi-agent social simulation system that can be used to improve the study of population mobility in metropolitan areas. The interest of this tool lies in supporting the evaluation of the usefulness of different urban mobility policies, and the ability to predict the effects of such policies in particular urban contexts.

The proposed approach deals with the problem considering the decisions taken by individuals. At this level of decision, the application of theories of social choice and welfare economics will result in socially acceptable decisions that promote the emergence of behaviors for sustainable global environment in which they arise.
