Goals

Currently, the research group has the following as its main objectives:

  • To develop chromatographic and electrophoretic methodologies for the separation of chiral compounds enantiomers.
  • To study the retention and enantioselectivitiy behaviour from chiral compounds in multiple chromatographic systems.
  • To implement artificial intelligence techniques to model the chiral compounds enantioresolution in chromatographic systems.
  • To create Smart Recommendation Systems to help select the optimal chromatographic system (a combination of stationary and mobile phases) for the chiral separation of new compounds, aiming to reduce costs and experimentation, contributing to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • To develop molecular bio interaction models using methods of computational simulation (‘in silico’ through Molecular Docking).
