Attachment encoding (MIME & MacMIME)

AppleDouble Allows you to send Mac file info (e.g., data, resources, Finder comment, etc.) but the data portion of the file is kept separate so that non-Mac recipients can access it easily. This is the preferred method for sending Mac files.
AppleSingle Combines Mac file info, including data, into a single encoded stream. This is the default for files without data forks.
BinHex Combines some but not all Mac file info, includeing data, into a single encoded stream. This should be used when sending files to recipients with non-MIME aware systems.
"True" MIME Sends only the data portion of a file and labels it as one of the standard MIME types.
Inline Text The text file will be appended (possibly after being QP encoded) to the end of the message body, before the message is sent.
