PROJECT “Innocampus Explora”. Round table on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

  • May 2nd, 2016
Innocampus

Thursday 5 May, a new activity to promote multidisciplinary culture among students of the different degrees of science and engineering, starts at Burjassot-Paterna Campus. The presentation and subsequent round table will take place from 12:30 in the Charles Darwin Assembly Hall of the Burjassot Campus.

This is the first activity of a new project of educative innovation of the Universitat, called “Innocampus Explora”, organised by all the centres of the Burjassot-Paterna Campus and whose objective is actively promoting the relations among students of the different degrees related to science and engineering of the Universitat, as well as promoting the collaboration culture in multidisciplinary teams.

The multidisciplinarity permits a more complete vision of science, promotes the exchange of experiences, the sharing of new ideas and it is essential to the progress of society and  the global economy of nowadays. To coordinate this objective there is the help of, on the one hand, professors and researchers of the different centres and research institutes of the campus, who will provide a multidisciplinary and accessible vision of the chosen subject; and on the other hand, the help of a students invigorating team with representatives of the different degrees of the campus. Although the main activity is the round table, the use of social networks will also allow showing its development before and mostly after it.

The subject chosen for this activity is nanoscience and nanotechnology. In this first round table the professors and researchers who will speak are:

  • Càndid Reig Escrivà, from the School of Engineering
  • Fernando Sapiña Navarro, from the Faculty of Chemistry
  • Amparo Torreblanca Tamarit, from the Faculty of Biological Sciences
  • David Valentín Conesa Guillan, from the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences
  • Ana Cros Stotter y Juan F. Sánchez Royo, from the Faculty of Physics
  • Salvador Dirige Molla, from the the Faculty of Pharmacy
