The Chair of Intelligent and Sustainable Territories has presented today at the headquarters of the region of the Hoya de Buñol-Chiva, in Yátova, the Connecta-Valencia platform.
The toolintegrates, processes and offers citizens the data from the sensor network deployed in the municipalities of the province of Valencia, and has been attended by technicians and members of the corresponding municipalities in what has been the last sample of its use before returning from the summer period in September.
The sensors employed in Connecta-Valencia capture information on meteorology, such as temperature, humidity and wind, air quality, noise, mobility, and parking availability. Likewise, the platform records water consumption and energy production from solar panels.
Concentrating the information available on a single portal is one of the advantages of the platform, as is the use of a common exchange format. The information covered by Connecta-València allows management decisions to be made on the basis of real data, generating new services and business opportunities and, in short, improving the well-being of citizens while maintaining sustainability policies.
The presentation in the region of Hoya de Buñol-Chiva is in line with the objective of the chair to promote digital transformation in the rural environment, encouraging the development and implementation of technological and sustainable solutions, favouring the competitiveness and innovation of the business fabric of the territory.
