This coming June 29th, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia will host the III Quantitative Finance and Economics Thesis Workshop. Interested participants can send their request up until May 30th.
This workshop is funded by the Chair of International Finance - Santander Bank and powered by the Quantitative Finance and Economics Doctorate Programme with the goal of promoting a forum in which all the best jobs in Quantitative Finance and Economics are discussed and made known.
- Date: June 29th, 2023
- Format: Four presentations in two 90-minute sessions Each presentation will follow the following structure: (i) Presentation (25min); (ii) Commentator (10min); and (iii) General Debate (10min).
- Deadline for submission: May 30th, 2023 Send via email to angel.pardo@uv.es. In addition to a PDF document containing the thesis outline or draft, applicants should also send:
- A brief statement about the preliminary nature of the presented version of the thesis. For example: (i) a work in progress with some preliminary results/conclusions, (ii) there is a version of the thesis that is ready to be presented at conferences, (iii) the thesis has already been accepted (presented) in a conference (review).
- The name of the commentator who has accepted the request to participate in the workshop debate.
- Presentations: The presentations will take place at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia in Valencia. Students and commentators from other universities will be given the opportunity to present online.
The selected presentations and the appointment of commentators will be announced on the June 9th.
The Academic Committee of the Quantitative Finance and Economics Doctorate Programme may decide to extend this workshop by a day or more (or schedule another workshop in September) depending on the quantity of theses submitted.
