Curricular external internships
The "External Internships" course [46433] allows students on the Degree to carry out training activities supervised by a tutor from the organisation where the internship takes place, as well as by an academic tutor affiliated with the University. The aim of the curricular internships is to encourage the application of the knowledge acquired during the three terms of the programme, improving the acquisition of skills that prepare students for professional activities, facilitate their employability and foster their ability to identify professional options in line with their training and interests.
Students who meet the requirements established in the applicable regulations may apply for recognition of their professional experience until 30 September. To do so, they must select the “Credit recognition” option in the Services Portal,
available in the Administrative procedures section. The application must be accompanied by the supporting documentation specified in the regulations.
The "External Internships" have a minimum duration of 100 hours and may be carried out under either of the following two modalities.
A) Autopracticum Modality
Under this modality, students may independently search for an organisation in which to undertake their internship. The suitability of the proposal will be assessed by the Master's Degree Management.
The procedure consists of the student finding and contacting the company or organisation where they wish to undertake the internship. Subsequently, the company or the student must complete the corresponding Autopracticum form for assessment and approval.
B) Ranking Modality
Each academic year, on the date scheduled for this purpose, the Degree will publish the list of internship positions offered for the academic year, which will also be available on the ADEIT website. The order of selection will be determined by the admission grade for the Master's Degree and, where applicable, students must meet the requirements established by the organisations (specific qualification, language proficiency).
Under this modality, internships take place after the end of the third-term classes, generally between the end
of May and the beginning of July.
Extracurricular external internships
In addition, students may voluntarily undertake extracurricular internships during the academic year in which they are enrolled and until 30 September of each academic year. The total number of internship hours that each student may complete per academic year is 900, including both curricular and extracurricular internships.
To undertake extracurricular internships, students must submit the selection form (the form corresponding to the Autropracticum) both to ADEIT and to the Course Coordination by 10 July of the academic year. After this date, curricular internships may not be initiated until the beginning of the following academic year, which will require the student to remain enrolled at the University.
