Friday 14 February at 4:00 pm Dr Alberto Montes Martínez, social worker in AFES-Salud Mental in Murcia and comarcas (local government areas), would teach a seminar on Diversity and Mental health in cinema.
Said seminar, posed as an open activity of the Master's degree in Social work in the healthcare field, will consist of a reflection regarding the representation of mental health in media, especially in cinema. The representation of the active symptomatology of the condition, the importance of social and family context and the issue of suicide will be addressed from an intercultural perspective. The methodology will be interactive which will create spaces for reflection, criticism and the development of proposals.
