We warmly welcome back our colleague Alicia Valls after completing a four-month stay at the Renal, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Pharmacology Group at NOVA Medical School in Lisbon, under the supervision of Dr Sofia de Azeredo Pereira.

During this period, she researched the role of the AhR receptor in the metabolism of oxalates and cysteine, comparing the effects of gene suppression with the use of an antagonist. This experience strengthens international collaboration and brings new approaches to our lines of research.
