Luis Sánchez Pastor
The 10 Neurolaw Seminar took place on 21 June, with guest speaker Luis Sánchez Pastor. The title of the seminar is ‘Introduction and basic aspects of treatment with transcranial magnetic stimulation’.
Seminar nº 10, entitled "Introduction and basic aspects of treatment with transcranial magnetic stimulation" was the fourth of 2024 and the members of the group were able to participate by videoconference.
The seminar wass addressed by Dr Luis Sánchez Pastor, a member of the Department of Psychiatry at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre (Madrid).
The following topics have been discussed:
- Introduction to magnetic stimulation: basic concepts.
- Mechanisms of action of TMS.
- Safety, side effects and contraindications.
- Clinical applications.
- Psychiatric applications.
- Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in the program for resistant depression
