Neurolaw organises its first Neurolaw Seminar with the support of the Institute for Neurosciences.
The conference was organised in collaboration with the Human Cognition and Behaviour scientific programme of the Institute for Neurosciences. This institute is a joint centre of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH). This institute is currently the biggest publicly funded centre in Spain dedicated to brain research, in both healthy and pathological conditions.
Throughout the seminar, which included a visit to the Institute for Neurosciences, participants debated and reflected on ‘The decision-making process: between human freedom and legal responsibility’.
Dr Luis Miguel Martínez Otero and Dr Encarni Marcos Sanmartín, researchers of the Human Cognition and Behaviour programme, participated in the session. Dr Vicente Claramonte Sanz, Dr Enrique Lanuza Navarro and Dr Maria Sánchez Vilanova, members of the Neurolaw Research Group, participated as well.
