'Studies of Law and Political Science' of the UOC organise the 20th Congress IDP: ‘Neurotechnology and AI: Exploring legal and governance frontiers’, which will be held on 3 July 2025 and the application period will remain opened until 23 April.
Neurotechnology and AI: exploring legal and governance frontiers
This congress aims to focus on key points of neurotechnology and AI from different perspectives such as law, political science, criminological and international relations. As on other occasions, the Congress will bring together representatives of the academy and sectors, with speakers and guest lecturers who send their communications in line with the Call for Papers.
The following will participate in the congress:
- Prof. Jan Christoph Bublitz (University of Hamburg) ‘Neurotechnology and International Human Rights’
- Dra. Milena Costas Trascasas Advisory Committee of the United Nations Human Rights Council ‘Global Governance of Neurotechnology’
- Dr. Javier Solana Sánchez (Director of Research of Guttmann Institute) ‘Neurotechnology: Actual situation and Future Perspectives’
The research group Neurolaw (UV) and Studies de Law y Political Science (UOC) have recently started a collaborative relationship to advance the lines of research in neuroscience, law and technology. This synergy will allow the development of projects and activities between the two entities, promoting the exchange of knowledge and joint research in areas such as neurolaw, the intersection between law and neuroscience, and the legal challenges of new technologies.
