Call for papers UCLM: submission of proposals until 15 August

The International Congress “Brains and Codes: Neuro-Rights in 21st Century Criminal Law”, promoted by the N³ research project on human neuro-rights, has opened its call for academic papers. Interested researchers may submit their proposals (abstracts of up to 5,000 characters, in Spanish or English and in PDF format) before 15 August 2025.

The event will address critical topics such as neuroethics, the constitutional and regulatory foundations of neuro-rights, as well as models of criminal protection available in Europe and Latin America. The scientific committee will evaluate the academic quality of the proposals and will notify the selected participants between 5 and 8 September 2025, including details regarding oral presentation at the congress and possible associated publications.

The Neurolaw (GIN) UV Research Group invites you to participate in this research activity on neurolaw.

The event includes a differentiated fee: €60 for those presenting a paper, with or without dinner, up until 15 August; afterwards, registration without presentation will remain open until 5 September at the same rate. The congress offers a certificate of attendance, a certificate for oral presentation, and the opportunity to be part of a scientific publication through the N³ committee.

The congress will take place on 11 and 12 September 2025 at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Toledo.
