The NeuroLaw Research Group of the University of Valencia has participated in the programme “Radiociencia” on the Radio Klara station, in an edition dedicated to analysing neurorights as a new frontier of human rights.
The programme, broadcast on Monday 3 February under the title “Neurorights: the new frontier of human rights”, featured the participation of Dr Enrique Lanuza Navarro and Dr José Manuel Sánchez Patrón, both members of the NeuroLaw Research Group (GIN) of the UV (https://www.uv.es/neuroderecho).
During the broadcast, the researchers addressed the legal and ethical challenges posed by advances in neurotechnologies, as well as the need to develop regulatory frameworks that protect fundamental rights in this emerging field.
Neurorights: The new frontier of human rights
Advances in fields such as neuroscience and neurotechnologies developed in recent years have had a major impact on improving people’s lives and health. However, alongside these potential benefits, new risks to rights and freedoms are emerging. These risks require a response from the field of Law.
