The 8th European Conference on Positive Psychology took place in Angers, France, on 28, 29 and 30 June and 1 July.

Professor Isabel Balaguer presented the study “The relationship of motivational processes to the well-being of young athletes”, carried out in collaboration with Dr Isabel Castillo.  This presentation was part of the symposium Positive Psychology in Sport and Physical Activity. Professor Joan Duda (coordinator of the symposium) gave a speech titled “Promoting optimal engagement in physical activity in at risk/patient groups”, while Dr Damien Tessier presented “Assessment of the objective motivational climate in sport and its implications for optimal functioning”, carried out in collaboration with Professor Philippe Sarrazin.
Groups from United Kingdom, France and Spain participated in the symposium, which was very well received.
