- Factors influencing psychological well-being and mental health in Spain and Colombia. The aim is to analyse the factors that influence the psychological well-being and mental health of people of all ages, in both Spain and Colombia, and to propose preventive measures that could be useful in both countries. The gender perspective will also be taken into account.
- Social and health measurement tools. The aim is to develop and/or adapt valid and reliable measurement tools that allow for comparisons between countries, in order to analyse transcultural differences in factors related to psychological well-being and the beginning of alcohol consumption in men and women. To this end, gender and transcultural invariance studies will be carried out, as well as the psychometric properties of the measurement tools in each country.
- Selective prevention of alcohol consumption among adolescents and young people. The aim is to study the risk factors that influence the beginning and development of alcohol consumption behaviour among adolescents and young people, as well as the protective factors that prevent said consumption. Although the motivations of young consumers are mostly the same, it is possible that young girls have different reasons. As young girls nowadays start to consume alcohol in larger quantities than boys of the same age, the gender perspective will be present at all times during the study. In order to achieve this, gender and transcultural invariable measurement tools, previously elaborated and/or adapted, will be used to assess these motivations and the outcome of potential prevention programmes to be implemented in each country.
