In addition to the quality of the Master’s contents, the excellence of teachers and the potential for employment opportunities, the Master’s Degree in Research and Rational Use of Medicines offers a distinctive postgraduate training programme in Spain.

Discover the five key factors that contribute to the Master’s unique position in Spain:

  • It is the only Master’s degree in the Spanish public university system aimed at training researchers, professionals and drug developers, and that places a strong emphasis on the responsible use of drugs.
  • It is the only Master’s degree in the Valencian Community that is focused on postgraduate training in the domain of medicines, encompassing their creation process, research and development.
  • The commitment to diversity and teaching quality is reinforced by more than 50 leading professionals from the fields of pharmacy, medicine, biochemistry and biology, who contribute to the provision of optimal training for students enrolled in this official Master’s. The programme benefits from the input of professionals from major hospitals, including the La Fe University Hospital, the General Hospital and the Doctor Moliner Hospital, as well as academics from other Spanish and international universities.
  • The curriculum allows students to select one of two specialisations:
    • Drug research and development
    • Rational use of medicines
  • It also offers students the opportunity to undertake external internships in a variety of healthcare settings, including drug information centres, social health centres and primary care services administrated by the Valencian Department of Health, hospital pharmacy services, community pharmacies and companies with a focus on the healthcare sector.
  • Furthermore, as it is an official Master’s degree, it provides students with the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies at the Universitat de València. This Master’s forms part of the training period of the Doctoral Programme in Biomedicine and Pharmacy.

If you graduated in Pharmacy, Medicine or a related degree and are interested in pursuing research and rational use of medicines, this Master’s is ideal for you!
