Objective of the course
To train pharmacists in the promotion of the rational use of medicines, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to identify and prevent medication-related problems, improve therapeutic adherence and minimise the risks of incidents that compromise patient safety, as well as to optimise the sustainability of the health system through safe and effective practices.

Salvador Gutiérrez Igual. Graduate in Pharmacy. Department of Pharmaceutical Care Services and Training MICOF. Master's Degree in Research and Rational Use of Medicines at the UV. PhD student in Biomedicine and Pharmacy.

Aimed at
Registered pharmacists, students in their final year of the degree in Pharmacy and anyone else interested in the field of biomedical research. Those interested who are not members or final year students of the degree in Pharmacy should contact the Training Department (formacion@micof.es) to process the registration, valued at 30 euros.

  • Main medication-related incidents detected during medication review.
  • Predisposing factors for the occurrence of medication-related incidents.
  • Overall impact of medication review on patient safety.
  • Challenges, lines of research and projects in rational and safe medication use.
