Damián Moreno Prado holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Valladolid. He later completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Journalism for Television and Radio at Villanueva University Center, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Communication of Scientific Research at the International University of Valencia. He is currently a predoctoral researcher in the PhD program in Spanish: Linguistics, Literature and Communication at the University of Valladolid.
His research focuses on science communication within university environments and the media, with particular attention to the dynamics of public communication of science and the relationship between research, journalism, and society.
Professionally, he has been responsible for the communication and science outreach departments at the IU CINQUIMA and the Institute of Biomedicine and Molecular Genetics (IBGM) in Valladolid. He has also participated in several teaching innovation and science outreach projects promoted by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the University of Valladolid, including What They Didn’t Tell You About Classic Fairy Tales, an initiative developed by UVaDivulga aimed at bringing science closer to children through a transmedia approach.
At the same time, he has carried out teaching activities as an adjunct lecturer in subjects related to communication and journalism, including News Television, Organizational Communication, and the History of Spanish Journalism.
