EcoVio

The Gender Economic Abuse (EA) consists of controlling women's access to economic resources, reducing women's ability to maintain themselves, their sons and daughters and their previous lifestyle habits economically dependent on the aggressor and undermining their chances of leaving the loop of abuse.

• Goals of the Project

ECOVIO aims at making visible a hidden gender-based violence for the society as a whole, analysing gendered causes and co-determinants of the EA within the GBV context through researching into how to ensure and guarantee the access to economic-financial rights for women and minors, making visible the economic abuse as an unexplored side of GBV. ECOVIO traces a route map for preventing and managing EA during and after the separation and influence decision-making bodies and entities, judges, prosecutors, lawyers, social workers and any other leading figure able to sustain change.

Contextualitzar i dimensionar la violència econòmica que es produeix com a resultat de la violència masclista, i buscar solucions i respostes a aquesta. Es pretén així mateix que aquesta forma de violència es visibilitze, en tant que ha rebut menys estudis que unes altres per part de les institucions.

ECOVIO, finançat per la Comissió Europea en el programa Drets, Igualtat i ciutadania i centrat en Itàlia i Espanya (per les seues similituds legals i culturals) comença amb l'elaboració d'enquestes i realitzant entrevistes per a una comprensió més profunda d'aquest fenomen, acabant amb la redacció d'un protocol que contindrà mesures per a frenar-lo, a més de crear el primer observatori de violència econòmica d'Espanya.
