Angel Latorre Latorre
Department of Evolutionary and Educational Psychology
University of Valencia. General Study

The External School Psychological Care Service is now operational. This new service made available by the Regional Department of Education is offered to any member of the educational community, providing personalized and individual assistance to pupils, teachers and/or their relatives who require a more specific involvement and/or treatment, in order to deal adequately with the consequences resulting from a problem of coexistence.

This initiative is part of the PREVI Plan, and supplements the existing service already provided in educational centres by the Guidance Department, the Cabinets, and the SPEs.

The SAPE service is available to all public and semi-public centres of the Valencian Community. A framework of cooperation between the Miguel Hernandez University of Alicante, the University of Valencia (General Study), the Jaume I University oif Castellon, and the Official Association of Psychologists of the Valencian Community (COPCV has been established to offer this External School Psychological Care Service (SAPE) to members of the educational centres. The request for the service must be submitted by the respective Educational Centre and addressed to the Care and Intervention Unit (UAI) of the Territorial Education Services.

The professor responsible for SAPE in Valencia is Angel Latorre Latorre from the Department of Evolutionary and Educational Psychology.
