The newspaper Las Provincias has published an article about the SEOFER Chair of Road Safety and Intelligent Mobility, both in paper and digital format, in its special supplement of Business Chairs 2022.
The SEOFER Chair of Road Safety and Intelligent Mobility promotes significant advances in two aspects increasingly demanded by our society: Road Safety and Intelligent Mobility, based on signalling. It is promoted by the company Señalizaciones y Obras Fernández S.L. (SEOFER) and implemented by the University Institute for Research in Traffic and Road Safety (INTRAS) of the University of Valencia and is committed to the creation of new ideas, initiatives and projects that, beyond the improvement of traditional signalling systems, allow a significant advance towards the concept of "safe and connected infrastructure" with great consideration to the "human factor".
Some of its recent actions have been:
- The development of a "smart bike rack".
- The educational/training activity "Pedagogical Radar", in Experience 2022.
- The SEOFER Chair Award for the best research work (TFG, TFM or Doctoral Thesis) on subjects related to Road Safety and Intelligent Mobility.
- The Support Programme for City Councils
- Consultancy to international institutions on issues related to road signs and signals
- Dissemination on road safety and intelligent mobility, through presentations at conferences and seminars.
Finally, the Association for the Development of Communication (adComunica), has kindly awarded the "Rafael López Lita 2022 Award" in the category "New Initiatives in Communication".
