From June 1st to 5th we were at the 51st Annual Symposium of the Kettil Bruun Society (KBS 2026), held in Kaunas (Lithuania), one of the main international meetings on research in alcohol and addictions.

Within the framework of the National Drug Plan project, our colleague Lydia García Gómez presented the following work:

“Trends in gender-related alcohol research: a descriptive analysis of Web of Science publications (2015–2024)”.

Our colleague Antonio Vidal-Infer presented the communication:

“Useful citizen science methodologies for the management of alcohol use disorder”.

In addition, Rafael Aleixandre participated as a discussant in the panel “Alcohol, Accidents, and Injuries”, contributing to the international scientific debate on prevention, safety and public health.

We continue to advocate for open, participatory research with social impact.
