Decree 47/2026 of 10 April, issued by the Council, was published on 13 April and comes into effect today, 15 April. It provides for the removal of the rector and the appointment of the new rector of the University of Valencia-Estudi General, Juan Luis Gandia, a colleague from our faculty.
The next step is the appointment of the vice-rectors, and we are honoured to have our departmental colleague, Professor Rosa María Yagüe, as Vice-Rector for Finance and Planning.
“The team that will support Juan Luis Gandía in leading the University of Valencia will be appointed this Wednesday at an official ceremony. The Assembly Hall in the Rector’s Office building will host the signing of the appointments by the vice-rectors. It will take place at 12.30 pm and will be open to the public.”
We would like to congratulate Rosa Yagüe and wish her the very best of luck in this new phase, in which she will work with the new rector to improve our University of Valencia.
