FORTHEM Alliance will present, in the context of the final meeting in Riga, the platform and the preliminary list of available courses to students and academic staff.

 

The FORTHEM Digital Academy is an online platform for virtual mobility. It will offer online courses, exchange activities, synchronous and blended courses, training for teachers. The kick-off event in Riga aims to promote the platform among students and academic staff, to show the opportunities for both of them and to increase the number of available courses.

The presentation of the Digital Academy is scheduled for Wednesday 8 June 2022, at 9.00 CET, with the following programme

- 9.00 - 10.00: Digital Academy launch and language courses presentation. 

The team provides a brief overview on FORTHEM and the Digital Academy; then, instructions are given on how to access the platform, and how to enrol in FORTHEM courses and activities. Finally, teachers from the seven FORTHEM countries present their language courses on German, French, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Latvian and Polish.

- 10.30 - 12.00: Labs courses presentation.

The teams from the FORTHEM Labs present the multidisciplinary courses that will be soon available for the students. The following 6 courses will be presented

  1. Migration and Diversity Narratives: an intersectional approach – developed by FORTHEM “Diversity and Migration” Lab, administered by University of Valencia (UV). 
  2. Multilingual Learning Environments – developed by FORTHEM “Multilingualism in School and Higher Education” Lab, administered by University of Jyväskylä (JYU). 
  3. Research Methodology for Exploring Digital Transformation – developed by FORTHEM “Digital Transformation” Lab, administered by University of Palermo (Unipa).
  4. Human Trafficking and Fundamental Rights: an overview – developed by FORTHEM “Diversity and Migration” Lab, administered by University of Palermo (Unipa). 
  5. European Entrepreneurship – developed by FORTHEM “Experiencing Europe” Lab, administered by University of Opole (UO).
  6. Sedimentary Basin Records of Earth’s Climate – developed by FORTHEM “Climate and Resources” Lab, administered by University of Mainz (JGU).
