Specific information for students

If you wish to study at the UV in the Erasmus+ Non-European Mobility Programme, the first step is to ensure that your university has an inter-institutional agreement with the University of Valencia.

Requirements

  • There must be an inter-institutional agreement between the two universities which establishes the number of students to be exchanged during the academic year in your degree programme.
  • The International Office at your university is required to send us your nomination, confirming that you have been selected to participate in the Erasmus+ Non-European Mobility Programme.

Application

After receiving your nomination, the International Relations Service will check if you can be accepted in accordance with the agreement and will email your password so that you can fill in the online application and upload the following documents:

  • Passport
  • Photograph (click here to see the requirements)

Visas

There are two types of student visas:

  • Visa D+C for 180 days: type of visa that is obtained when the exchange period takes place for one semester.
  • Student visa for 90 days: type of visa obtained when an exchange period takes place for an academic year. You are required to apply for the Identity Card for Foreigners within one month of the date of arrival in Spain. The International Relations Service will help you request an appointment with the Police Station.

Specific information for partner universities

If you wish to send us your student nominations, please be aware that you must fill in the following online nomination form:

Periods to send your students nominations:

  • For ”Fall semester” (September-January):

The link for nominations will remain opened from 1st of March until 30st of June.

  • For “Spring semester” (February-June):

The link for nominations will remain open from 1st of September until 31st of October.

With this e-mail we would like to inform you about the new application procedure for exchange students who wish to spend the first or second semester 2020-21 at University of Valencia.

Remember that we will only accept nominations sent by the International Office of a University with which the UV has signed a specific agreement.

* Please, note that we will not accept nominations by email, post or any other way anymore.

* We will only accept nominations sent by a nominating international office or a nominating university staff member.

After receiving the nominations, the International Relations Office will check if they are acceptable in accordance with the bilateral agreement and will send to the students an e-mail with the information they need to fill in the online application form.
