VLC/CAMPUS: Gobernance

The VLC/CAMPUS project is founded on the aggregation of funding institutions and involvement, with varying degrees of linkage, institutions, organizations and associated and affiliated entities. Only targets be achieved if the planned measures are coordinated and lead by an effective and robust governance model. It´s presented the Portico Building as the seat of governance and outlines the methodology of open innovation as the most appropriate pattern for the coordination of this diversity of actors in conditions of globalization and open knowledge flows.


Headquarters of the consortium: It’s set provisionally, pending build the Portico Building VLC/CAMPUS, in the building of the Rector of the Universtat of Valencia, located at Avenida Blasco Ibanez, 13 (Valencia).


This project has the unanimous support of public institutions (Corts Valencianes, Generalitat, municipalities where universities have headquarters), as well as the Chamber of Commerce and business and trade union organizations. There is also, with the direct involvement of centres, agencies and research units, as the center of research Prince Felipe, the higher Centre for research in public health and hospital foundations of research as well as some of the most dynamic and innovative technology-based companies.


The proposed objectives, the actions that are specified and coordination both VLC/CAMPUS and the rest of aggregate organizations promoting institutions, only be achieved through an effective and robust governance model.
It's based on the creation of the consortium VLC/CAMPUS. VALENCIA, INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS OF EXCELLENCE as a public entity with legal personality and independent of the entities that compose it, with its own assets, autonomous administration and legal capacity as required by the completion and fulfillment of its purposes.
VLC/CAMPUS is a bet on the creation of a centre of knowledge of excellence, capable of modernizing our universities (Strategy 2015) through an opening to the territory and the inclusion in the scenario of global competitiveness.
