
The 3rd International Central European Week will be held at the University of Opole from 9 to 13 May and will include a Europe Day on Thursday 12 May.
Incoming faculty and staff from UO partner universities can join to learn more about collaborative projects and cooperation with external partners in the FORTHEM Lab Multilingualism in School and Higher Education. The programme of the event includes the following talks:
“Making University of Opole international and mobile” with good practices arising from UO Erasmus+ and FORTHEM involvements;
“Showcasing FORTHEM Lab outputs and FIT FORTHEM co-creation project on Citizen Science for schools” with guest presenters:
- Petteri Laihonen, Kristiina Skinnari, Karla Sivonen, (University of Jyväskylä, Finland), with testimonials from Mankola School pupils and teachers, Hannele Vestola and Marjut Hiltunen.
- Xavier Mínguez López (University of Valencia, Spain);
“Mainstreaming Citizen Science for schools - success stories and challenges” round table with JYU, UV and UO academics moderated by Marcin Deutschmann and Katarzyna Molek-Kozakowska, with interventions from Iwona Sobieraj and UO students taking part in Citizen Science spin-off at Opole Secondary Schools.
