Biography

PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Valencia and Associate Professor of Toxicology in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Food Sciences, Toxicology and Legal Medicine at the University of Valencia. Teaching activities include the Bachelor’s degrees in Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Food Science and Technology, as well as the official Master’s programmes in Food Quality and Safety, Personalized and Community Nutrition, and Public Health and Health Management. Member of a consolidated educational innovation group.

Research activities are carried out as a member of the ALISOST research group, in collaboration with the RiskTox and CONANS research groups. Research focuses on the application of non-thermal technologies for the mitigation of toxic compounds, the extraction of bioactive compounds and toxicity assessment. Research stays have been completed at institutions such as the Università degli Studi di Milano. Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Toxicology. Participation in the European projects WheatBiome (HORIZON-CL6-2022-FARM2FORK-01-09) and BLUEWAYSE (PCI2024-153460, Blue Way to a Sustainable Europe), and Principal Investigator of the Erasmus+ KA220-HED project SYMBIOEDU (Harmonized and Sustainable Pharmacy Education for an Open Europe).

Main management responsibilities include coordination and mentoring of the Entreiguals programme for incoming students, mobility coordination for the Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and the Double Degree in Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and the position of Vice-Dean for International Relations, Mobility Programmes and Quality at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences.
