Jorge Ramos Tolosa holds a PhD in Contemporary History and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Valencia.
His doctoral thesis received international recognition, was graded with honours ‘cum laude’ and received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. It was supervised by Professor of Contemporary History Ismael Saz Campos and Professor of Contemporary History Mª Cruz Romeo Mateo. His main lines of research are: Palestine-Israel; postcolonial-decolonial studies, Arab-Islamic studies, Epistemologies of the South, racism/anti-racism, migration and human rights; the history and memory of the Second Republic, the Spanish Civil War and the Franco dictatorship; the far right; and social movements.
