Albert Mora holds a PhD in Sociology, as well as degrees in Sociology and Social Work, all of which were completed at the University of Valencia. He has worked with several non-governmental organizations and public administrations, including Doctors of the World in the Valencian Community, where he was coordinator of the Center for Health and Social Care for Immigrant People, and the CeiMigra Foundation, where he served as head of the Intercultural Citizenship School. He has also worked as a professional trainer in the fields of migration, cultural diversity management, interculturalism, and citizenship participation.

He currently teaches sociology, methods and techniques of social research, migration and development cooperation in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Valencia (Spain). He is a member of the Human Rights Institute of the University of Valencia and has participated as a researcher in several projects funded by the Spanish Government, including:

• Evidence of the legitimacy and effectiveness of international human rights standards. An analysis based on institutional practices in Spain (2026-2030). 
• Human Rights and Immigration: Rethinking Integration in Dark Times (2024-2028). 
• Times and Spaces of Inclusive Justice: Rights for a Resilient Society in the Face of New Challenges (2022-2026)
• Racism and Discrimination: Human Rights Under Threat (2020–2023).
• Diversity and Conviviality: Human Rights as Guidelines for Action (2016–2019).
• Human Rights, Multicultural Societies and Conflicts (2013–2016).
• Migration, Integration and Public Policies: Guaranteeing Rights and Evaluating Their Implementation (2010–2013).

He has also led several research projects commissioned by public administrations, including:

• Diagnostic Study on the Situation of Immigration, Inclusion, and Social Cohesion in the City of Gandia, commissioned by Gandia Municipality (2025).
• Design of the Inclusion Plan 2022–2025 of La Vall d’Uixó, commissioned by La Vall d’Uixó Municipality (2021).
• Socio-Legal Report on the Situation of Immigrant People in the Valencian Community, commissioned by the Valencian Regional Government (2016–2017).
• Community Dynamization Project in the Vallet Neighbourhood, commissioned by Puçol Municipality (2016–2017).
• Design of the Coexistence and Integration Plan 2016–2019 of La Vall d’Uixó, commissioned by La Vall d’Uixó Municipality (2016).

He has been a visiting scholar at the Andean Program of Human Rights at the Andean University Simón Bolívar in Ecuador (2010), the Centre for Advanced Migration Studies at the University of Copenhagen (2017, 2021 and 2025), the Research Unit on Citizenship and Integration at Aarhus University (2018), and the Malmö Institute for Migration Studies at Malmö University (2024).

His main research interests focus on integration policies, intercultural coexistence, racism and discrimination, and the protection of human rights in multicultural societies.
