Biography
- Since 2018: Lecturer, Department of Pharmacology, University of Valencia.
- 2013-2015: Lecturer, Faculty of Health Sciences, Jaume I University, Castellón.
- 2008-2013: Postdoctoral researcher, University of Valencia.
- 2008: Doctor in Pharmacology from University of Valencia.
- 2001: Graduate in Biological Sciences (speciality in Biochemistry) from University of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Macedonia
Main fields of interest: Role of mitochondrial dysfunction and cell signaling related to survival or cell death programmes (autophagy and apoptosis) in the pathogenesis of different diseases. Study of the cellular mechanisms involved in the toxicity of antiretroviral drugs. Search for druggable targets in chronic liver disease and particularly liver fibrosis.
