. Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology of the University of Valencia, with full-time Dedication since 2013. Research Trajectory -Dedication to neurovascular Biomedical research since my Incorporación to the Experimental Cerebral Circulation group, of the Research Center of the Hospital La Fe of Valencia , where I did my PhD training with a grant from the Generalitat Valenciana, Defending my Doctoral Thesis in 1996 .. -I received two postdoctoral grants, one granted by the Generalitat Valenciana (July-December 1996) with Dr Burton Altura in the Department of Physiology of the State University of New York and another granted by the Ministry of Education and Science (April 1997- December 1998) at the Wellcome Surgical Institute and Neuroscience Laboratories of the University of Glasgow with Dr. James McCulloch. - Research Associate since February 1999 and Neuroscience Instructor since July 2003 at the Department of Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University until December 2006 with Dr. Suzanne Zukin. -Course Instructor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Valencia (2006-2013). -Participation in 5 regional projects, 7 national projects, 4 international projects and principal investigator of 3 regional projects and a project granted by the American Heart Association (USA). -During my research career, the main research topics have derived from more basic aspects of the cerebral circulation to more translational, with the use of animal models of cerebrovascular pathology (global and focal cerebral ischemia). The list of subjects investigated includes the characterization of the vasoconstrictor system of endothelin in a physiological situation and the effect of drugs of abuse on the reactivity of cerebral vessels, estrogenic neuroprotection in global cerebral ischemia and the mechanisms involved. Currently, the objectives have focused on the identification of molecular and cellular events in the cascade of ischemic brain damage, the modification of cerebrovascular reactivity by diabetes and estrogenic neuroprotection in ischemic stroke, including the use of selective modulators of estrogen receptor. Results obtained -All this work is shown in the 40 articles published in international indexed journals, among which I would like to highlight NATURE NEUROSCIENCE, PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF AMERICA, JOURNAL OF NEUROSCIENCE and FRONTIERS IN NEUROENDOCRINOLOGY. In addition, I have 3 publications in non-indexed journals and 2 book chapters, one of them international and reference book in the field of Neuroscience (Stroke: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management). I have 70 communications in congresses. Member of scientific societies and reviewer of scientific articles -Member of the Society for Neuroscience 1999-2006. - Member of the Neurovascular Cooperative Research Network (RENEVAS, 2007-2011), RETICS INVICTUS (2013-2016) and currently of the CEREBRAL VASCULAR DISEASE NETWORK (2017-2021) of the Health Institute Carlos III. -Since 24/11/2008, member of the Mixed Unit of Cerebrovascular Research subscribed between the Foundation La Fe and the University of Valencia. -Reviewer of the scientific journals Brain Research, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, Cellular Physiology and Biochemistry, Biochemical Pharmacology and British Journal of Pharmacology..
