Alfredo Juan Grau Grau, is a Professor in the Department of Corporate Finance at the Faculty of Economics (University of Valencia, Spain). He graduated in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Valencia. He completed the Course of Pedagogical Adaptation currently assimilated to the Master's Degree in Secondary Education at the Complutense University of Madrid. Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of Valencia with a doctoral thesis entitled "Asset Pricing in the Spanish and European Capital Markets", with Excellent Cum Laude grade.
In the field of teaching, he teaches Finance in the degrees of Business Intelligence and Analytics and double degree in Business Administration and Management and Law. He also teaches in the Master in Corporate Finance and Master in Business Administration-MBA. He has more than forty teaching publications, has presented more than twenty papers at educational innovation conferences and has participated in ten teaching innovation projects. He has published two manuals on Finance and several book chapters in prestigious publishers, most of them indexed in the first quartile (Q1) according to Scholarly Publishers Indicators (SPI). He has received the Fernando Sapiña award for his teaching materials and the distinction of best teaching innovation paper by the International Conference on Innovation, Documentation and Education.
In the field of research, he is currently focused on studies related to Sustainable Finance, Corporate Governance and Board Gender Diversity, but he has also researched Asset Pricing and the effect of the economic and industrial environment on financial decisions. He has participated as a speaker in more than thirty international and national congresses, organized by prestigious entities, such as: European Financial Management Association (EFMA), Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy (GIKA), International Conference on Advanced Research Methods and Analytics (CARMA), Ibero-American Association of Management Control, Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology and Spanish Finance Association (AEFIN), among others. He has published more than thirty articles in prestigious journals, most of them indexed in the first quartile according to Journal Citation Reports (JCR), such as: Business Ethics, the Environment & Responsibility (Q1), International Business Review (Q1), Journal of Business Research (Q1), Small Business Economics (Q1), European Journal of Finance (Q1), Sustainability-Entrepreneurial Sustainability: New Innovative Knowledge (Q2), Spanish Journal of Agricultural Research (Q2), Quantitative Finance (Q2), and Spanish Journal of Finance & Accounting, among others. He has also received three research awards from The European Academy of Management and Business Economics and the Ibero-American Association of Management Control.
In addition, he has participated in research contracts with the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE) and has been part of several research projects, among which, several transfer projects awarded by the Valencian Agency for Innovation (AVI) under the line of "Complementary actions to promote and strengthen innovation". It has also collaborated in other transfer projects also awarded by the AVI in the line "Valorization and transfer of research results to companies".
