Biography

She is currently Permanent Labor Professor of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València and Collaborating Professor of Civil Law at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

In the field of management, is from 2021 Vice-Dean of Economics, Analysis, Planning and Campus and President of the Equality Commission of the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia since 2021, and member of the Senate of the University of Valencia since 2022.

Awarded in the I Edition CERMI Awards. Category 3 Institutional: Impact of the UN Convention on Persons with Disabilities in 2019.

She is co-director of the postgraduate course, together with Jorge Cardona i Llorens, "Rights of Children and Adolescents: Contexts of application and rights approach" (4th edition). She has several postgraduate degrees and experience in research contracts, as well as a long teaching career at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, both in Spain, such as the Master of Law (Practice in Family and Inheritance Law) or the Master of Constitutional Law (Constitutional typologies of property law and the social function of property) or the Diploma of Expert in Childhood and Adolescence mentioned above; and internationally in the Master of Constitutional Law at the Autonomous University of Honduras (Constitutional typologies of property law and social function of property). She has a recognized five-year degree and is accredited by the Docentia program with the highest qualification. She has also been Professor of Civil Law at CEU-SAN PABLO (1999-2002) and Associate Professor of Civil Law at Universitat de València (2006-2015).

In teaching innovation, she has been a member of the Teaching Innovation Project Legal and Teaching Materials 3.0 (https://www.uv.es/docius/materialesjuridicos.wiki) in successive editions:UV-SFPIE_GER15-310031;UV-SFPIE_GER16-417895;UV-SFPIE_GER17-587414;UV-SFPIE_GER18-848864;UV-SFPIE_PID19_1097976;UV-SFPIE_PID 1353460 (2020 edition) whose responsible PI is Professor Mas Badía. In the last editions (2021-22; 2022-23 and 2023-24), he has been co-IP responsible together with Prof. Mas Badía. She has also been a member of the teaching innovation projects: Mind the Gap: towards a teaching of Law with a gender perspective (Gender4Law) 2021-22 and Promotion of the transversality of human rights in the UV Law degree (2022-23, 2023-24).

In the field of research, she is a member of the R&D Project IN_JUSTICE "Times and spaces of an inclusive justice. Rights for a resilient society facing new challenges", PID2021-126552OB-I00 (2022-2025). She is part of two research groups: Law, rights and elderly people (DyPM- GIUV2023-578) and Welfare, Insurance and Pensions (WIP- GIUV2017-399). She participates as an external evaluator of doctrinal articles for Spanish and foreign legal journals. Her lines of research focus on personal law, especially childhood and elderly people, and family and property law, in which she has published numerous articles and made several collaborations for teaching manuals, collective books, journals and publishers of recognized prestige. She has recently coordinated and participated as author in the collective work of Comments to the Valencian Law on childhood and adolescence (Tirant lo Blanch, 2022), and as more recent articles we find: "Keys of interpretation of the right of the person in the XXI century", Actualidad civil, No. 9, 2023; "Care as a category of construction of the subjects of law in democracy", Cuadernos electrónicos de filosofía del derecho, No. 49, 2023 or "El derecho de la persona en el siglo XXI", Cuadernos electrónicos de filosofía del derecho, No. 49, 2023; "El cuidado como categoría de construcción de los sujetos de derecho en democracia", Cuadernos electrónicos de filosofía del derecho, No. 49, 2023. 49, 2023 or "El derecho de la infancia y la adolescencia a una muerte digna", Actualidad jurídica iberoamericana, No. 12, 2020.

In the field of knowledge transfer, she has collaborated with HelpAge in the preparation of the Report on the right to care in Spain (https://www.helpage.es/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Informe_El-derecho-a-los-cuidados-de-las-personas-mayores_HelpAge-Espana-2021.pdf), and the development of the State Service for the Care of the Elderly (https://www.helpage.es/seam/). She is currently collaborating in the preparation of a report with the Carlos III University of Madrid on the Deinstitutionalization Strategy for vulnerable population groups (children and adolescents, the elderly, people with disabilities and the homeless) developed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Agenda 2030 in Spain.

She has had experience in the professional field working as a practicing lawyer, specializing in family law (2004-2015); or as Manager of the CEPS Foundation (2002-2013). She has held public representation tasks at the political level as a deputy in the IX legislature of the Valencian Parliament (2015-2019) during which she held the position of parliamentary spokesperson attached to the Trustee of the parliamentary group Podem.

She has carried out different research stays in international centers of reference in legal matters such as La Sapienza (Rome) or Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
