Biography

José Antonio García Sáez is professor for Philosophy of Law and Politics Department of the University of Valencia. He is also a member of the Human Rights Institute and the Legal Clinic for Social Justice at the same university. He is member of the Steering Comitee of the review Anuario de Filosofia del Derecho. He is the main researcher of the European Project EDUCAP (Multiplying Educational Capacities to Combat Sexual Violence Against Children).

He completed his doctoral thesis under the direction of Professor Cristina García Pascual (2009-2014) with an FPU grant from the Ministry of Education. He received the Luis Díez del Corral 2014 Prize for Doctoral Theses in History of Ideas and Political Forms, Political Policy Theory and Political Philosophy granted by the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies.

He has been a full-time professor at the Autonomous University of Coahuila, Mexico, where he coordinated the Center for Strategic Litigation and several legal clinics in Human Rights Clinics (2015-2016). He has also been a professor in the Philosophy of Law Area of ​​the Autonomous University of Madrid (2017-2018).

His main research fields are the philosophy of international law, the history of international relations, the problems for protecting of human rights in a globalized world, and legal education.
