Recipient of a predoctoral grant for University Teacher Training (FPU) from the Ministry of Education (2008-2012). Doctoral thesis supervised by Prof. Eugenio Santos and Prof. Alberto Fernández-Medarde at the Cancer Research Center (CSIC-USAL), Salamanca, which will be read in September 2012. He has two six-year research periods and a five-year teaching period favorably evaluated.

In 2010, with a predoctoral mobility grant from the Ministry of Education, he spent 4 months at the Neuroscience Department of the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm (Sweden) in the group of Prof. Sven Ove Ögren. In 2014, he did a 3-month stay at the Instituto di Scienze della Produzioni Alimentari, CNR, Bari (Italy) in the group of Prof. Solfrizzo. In 2015-2016, he did a 2-month stay at the food chemistry laboratory, Università degli Studi di Ferrara (Italy) in the group of Prof. Brandolini. In the summer of 2018, she did a 1-month stay at the Proteomics and Metabolomics department of the Universitatea de Medicină şi Farmacie Iuliu Haţieganu in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) with Prof. Iuga. In 2020, with a mobility grant from the Generalitat Valenciana (BEST2020), he completed a 4-month stay at Lund University in the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Broberg in Lund, Sweden. The collaboration was extended to other members of the Swedish group and she returned for a two-month stay in July and August 2021. She is currently doing a three-month stay as a visiting professor at Sapienza – Università di Roma, Italy, in collaboration with professors Andrea Salvo and Luisa Mannina. The theme deals with biofilms for food use and analysis using the NMR technique. The stay will take place between May 1 and July 31, 2022.

In recent years, he has developed his research in the line of "Mechanisms of toxicity of mycotoxins and bioactive compounds in vitro and in vivo through omics techniques", in relation to the modification of gene, protein and metabolic expression due to exposure to mycotoxins, but also in combination with bioactive food components such as carotenoids. Within the research group, he has assumed the responsibility of managing the studies with omics techniques and those in vivo. In summary, the techniques developed have been: the extraction of DNA, RNA and proteins from mammalian cell lines, animal tissues and fungal spores, the transcriptomic analysis of data obtained by RNA-seq and the transcriptional analysis in real time by qPCR, proteomic and metabolomic analysis by HPLC-MS-qTOF and recently the analysis of epigenetic changes.

The activity carried out has given rise to a continuous production disseminated in reference publications, basically, in the area of Food Science and Technology and, specifically, 74 articles, most of them in scientific journals indexed in the JCR and in the first quartile of their thematic category, in addition to some 115 communications to congresses, including an international guest lecture at the "Nutrition - Medicine of the Future - 2019" Congress in Cluj-Napoca (Romania). As additional data, we must mention the parameter h of 21 at the present time. It should be noted that the articles published and referenced in JCR have produced a total of 1563 citations, of which 70% correspond to the last 5 years, indicating a fruitful scientific production. He has co-directed 6 doctoral theses and multiple end-of-master and end-of-degree theses at the University of Valencia.

She has been principal investigator of the project 'Transcriptomic and proteomic changes in neuronal cells due to exposure to emerging mycotoxins and carotenoids' (UV2020-0332). He has participated in European research projects (AQUABIOPRO-FIT, H2020-WIDESPREAD-2020-5, PCI2020-112008), national (FIS PS09/01979, AGL2013-43194-P, AGL2014-52648-REDT, AGL2016-77610-R, PID2019-108070RB-I00-ALI), regional (SA044A08, GV2016-106, GVA-INNVAL10/19/078), university (Fundación Solórzano 2012-2013) and in contracts with 5 different companies related to the food industry, with the health management and the manufacture of chemical compounds. He is currently responsible for the contract with the Guinama company to advise on the toxic risk of chemical compounds. She was a project evaluator in 2017 and 2022 for the National Science Center-Narodowe Centrum Nauki, Poland.
