Biography
David Mascarell Palau is a professor at the Teaching Unit of Didactics of Artistic Education of the Department of Didactics of Physical, Artistic and Musical Education of the Faculty of Teaching, of the University of Valencia. Graduate in Design, advertising graphics (1995), and Graduate in Fine Arts (2009), with extraordinary career award. Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teaching Staff with high academic performance and Master's Degree in Research in Specific Didactics. Doctor Cum Laude from the University of Valencia in Teaching of Visual Arts. He has received various artistic and pedagogical recognitions throughout his professional and teaching career that began in 1995 and 1999. He is part of CREARI, a research group in cultural pedagogies. He is a member of SEA, Society for Artistic Education, https://sociedadeducacionartistica.org. He has participated in 16 Educational Innovation Projects and other R&D. His lines of research are developed around Information and Communication Technologies with mobile devices (Mobile Learning), visual culture, images, heritage and interdisciplinarity in Artistic Education. He has completed several stays, including at the Metropolitan University of Oslo (Norway), Lisbon (Portugal). He currently coordinates an Educational Innovation Project that focuses on promoting interdisciplinarity in Art Education at the childhood stage. Coordinator of the Artistic Education Didactics Teaching Unit, academic year 2024-2025.
