
Next Thursday 22 May the 4th Conference on Technologies Directed to
the Development of Services and Web Applications” will take place in
the “Escola Tecnica Superior de’ Ingenieria” (ETSE-UV). In the conference
there will be two talks on immersive photography and cloud computing
from the perspective of service providers. Attendance to the
conferences, which will be imparted from 15:00 to 18:00, will be
technical and informative nature and will be opened to all university
community and to all the public in general.
The conference, organized by the University Master’s Degree in Services and Web Applications Engineering (iSAW 2014), will gather three experts who will offer firsthand information on these issues from an academic viewpoint as well as from a business viewpoint. In first place, Ricardo Castro y Miguel Martín (founder members of Aerofoto360.com) will show how to strengthen the image of a place, an object or a business through state-of-the-art techniques resulting from the field of photography and computing. With this aim, they will explain what it is, its utility and the functioning of the immersive photography, virtual tours, rotation of lens, aerial photography with multirotor and the Google Business Views.nFor that, they will detail the team and the necessary computing programs to carry out the shot, post- production and the photographic montage. Moreover, they will discuss about the future of the aerial immersive image, 3D photography and immersive video. Following, Jose Maria Alcaraz (professor at the University of West Scotland) will introduce attendants into the Cloud Computing world; its concepts and associated technics. With this aim, big operative enterprises will reveal both what they show and what they don’t show as for their cloud computing systems, explaining several practical and real situations carried out in collaboration with enterprises such as HP, IBM and Telefonica. Finally, the technical aspects and the necessary architecture in to open an own service of Cloud Computing will be highlighted.
