All students entering the doctoral programme must have a minimum level of English skills equivalent to B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which establishes that the student:

• Can understand the main ideas of complex texts that deal with both concrete and abstract subjects, even if they are of technical nature, as long as they are within their field of specialisation.
• Is able to interact with native speakers with sufficient fluency and ease, so that communication flows without effort for both speakers.
• Is able to produce clear and detailed texts on diverse subjects, as well as to defend a point of view on general topics indicating the pros and cons of the different options.
