The current Doctorate programme in Accounting and Corporate Finance has its origins in 2003, when the program obtained the Quality Mention granted by the Ministry of Education, recognition that was a pioneer throughout Spain. In 2013 ANECA positively verified the Doctorate programme after its adaptation to RD 99/2011, and this program is currently in force. The previously existing research lines have been reorganised into three groups: (A) Capital Markets and Corporate Finance, (B) Financial information in the public and private sectors, and (C) Audit, Management Control and Corporate Governance.
In the previous academic year, 2016/17, it was chosen as one of the two pilot programs to be evaluated by the AVAP, having received in February 2018 a favourable assessment by the said external evaluation agency.
