The Quality Committee of the Doctoral Programme is intended to ensure the establishment and monitoring of the Quality Assurance System.
Such Committee shall consist of the members of the Academic Committee of the programme plus one representative of the doctorate students, one member from the Administrative and Services Staff and one technician from the Quality Unit, designed by their direction and who performs the quality technician supporting functions.
For the performance of their duties an advisory group will be constituted, based on the aspect and criterion being worked, whose members may be:
- 1 graduate
- 1 employer
- 1 member from the Professional Placement and Careers Advice Monitoring Centre (OPAL)
The functions of this Quality Committee will be the following:
- It develops and supervises the establishment of all the procedures which depend on the doctoral programme and it is the responsible for assessing the proper system development in this study.
- It develops the suggestions for improvement of the Quality Assurance System derived from the establishment of the procedures.
- It makes an effectiveness monitoring of the procedures through the indicators and evidences associated to the Quality Assurance System. All the procedures conclude with the assessment and consequently the plan for proposals for improvement that must be checked annually.
- It controls the executions of the corrective and/or preventive actions, of the actions derived from the revision of the system, of the response actions to the suggestions, queries and complaints.
- It coordinates together with the Quality Unit, the information compilation procedures of the groups of interest.
- The Quality Unit reports the results of the indicators of the satisfaction surveys of the groups of interest, for its analysis in the different procedures and if this is considered appropriate, the development of actions for improvement derived from the study of these data.
- It supervises the information and gives an explanation to those involved in the doctoral programme, about the assessment and improvement procedures that have been developed with the establishment of the Quality Assurance System.
The Quality Committee of the Doctoral Programme is met following the regularity marked in each of the procedures, holding meetings, at least, every three months, in order to verify the proper establishment of the SGIC.
