PhD position offer in 'Remote Sensing for Crop Evapotranspiration' at IRTA
The PhD will deal with using innovative solutions of remote sensing in order to raise almond’s productive potential through improving the irrigation water use efficiency, and to characterize the physiological mechanisms involved, from tree to orchard level. The background will be based on taking advantage of crop evapotranspiration (ET) estimates through remotely sensed energy balance models, and to use it for practical applications which involve crop’s water use and productivity. Methodology approaches will include unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) imagery (RGB, multispectral and thermal), satellite (Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3), and machine learning techniques.
