The Professor takes part in the ELRA Assembly with a talk about the effects of the Regulation Brussels I bis on the intra-European registry

The Assembly of the European Land Registry Association (ELRA) took place in Helsinki during the days 22 and 23 September. Within this context, and in front of an audience formed by representatives of registration systems of Member States of the EU and judges, Prof. Palao Moreno gave a talk about the effects of the new Regulation I bis and its influence on the international activity carried out by land registers in the EU. Apart from jurisdictional aspects, modifications in recognition and enforcement of decisions were highlighted at the talk. The cross-border effectiveness of provisional measures were also mentioned, with the incorporation of the principle of automatic recognition and its influence on the access to such decisions and measures in the land registers.
